Hi! My name is Laura Cangiamilla. Welcome to our second grade classroom website. It is my hope that this website will improve communication between home and school. Keep in mind, this site is still a work in progress and I ask for your patience as I work to get all the pages active. Philosophy of Teaching

I love my students and teaching.

I believe each student should be responsible and take charge of his/her learning.

I believe I am here to facilitate the learning and to encourage my students to be successful.

I believe teachers are responsible not only for teaching the core subjects, but also for teaching students how to be better citizens in the world around us.

I have high expectations for all of my students - white, black, Hispanic, younger, older, gifted, or learning disabled.

I believe all students bring something to the classroom - good or bad.

I believe you have to take the good with the bad.

I believe you should show respect to your students and in return receive respect.

I believe students can be honest given the chance. I believe that teaching is my calling and my gift.
